The new federal spending/stimulus  package of 2009 has just lowered the cost of geothermal installation by providing a 30% tax credit which will cover the costs associated with the installation of the ground source heat exchanger. If you are planning to build a home or have a commercial project a Geothermal  System is the only choice. Clean and green energy provides yet another advantage.  Remember,  in the not too distant future  government intends to tax carbon emissions- resulting from the use of fossil fuels.  A geothermal system will avoid these taxes while saving an average of 70% on heating and cooling costs.

For new residential/commercial construction, a closed loop water to air  system can be installed in as little as two weeks.
Existing structures require more planning and generally are more difficult, but highly achievable.
